Special Mixed Kebab from Broadway Grill in Leigh Broadway, Leigh on Sea. Chicken, lamb, doner and kofta meat in a massive pitta. Added knife attacks by mad drunk bastards on a Friday night as well as chili sauce.

Spot on mate. I had a couple in the Tilbury over the years. I am sure it was named after Tilbury in Essex as Woolloomooloo was the earliest cargo port in Sydney, after The Rocks that is. When were you in Sydney?
You missed out on a real treat by not partaking of one of "Harry's pies"

Jamaican Jerk Chicken wrap from Bishopsgate Wrap It Up is to die for. Round the corner from there in New Street there's this place that does an absolute fuck off Paella for 7.50

For the finest shawarma kebab get your self down to Kebab Kid in the New Kings road. Best Kebab by a mile. Top chips as well.
Thinking about this important question has made me realise it's nearly 20 years since Blooms in Whitechapel closed down. They did the best salt or roast beef on rye sandwiches, which alongside a portion of their fantastic slaw was unbeatable.
It's now a sodding Burger King.

I saw some grilled insects on sticks in Kuala Lumpur night market one time, Finnish. I didn't feel hungry at the time, funnily enough.

I've been there, Banjo. Didn't have anything to eat though, I was with two mates who were staying at that hotel nearby.
I thought there was a pub called The Anchor there as well, to remind you of Tilbury?

Down at Woolloomooloo on Sydney Harbour is a wonderful "Pie Cart" called "Harry's café de wheels"
It is a bit of an institution as it has been there since the late 20"s and they serve sensational pies, and a great range, with or without mash and peas and gravy.
Delightful food and it tastes so much better after a few beers. If any of you ever visit Sydney you simply must try a pie from "Harry's".
